Financial Elder Abuse
Trusts and trust funds are often part of an elderly person’s estate planning, and the related fraud is a growing type of elderly abuse. While the trustee who oversees the funds has an obligation to put the interests of the beneficiary above their own, their power over the trust could lead to the opportunity for fraud and misconduct. Our estate and trust litigation attorneys represent clients in matters of elder abuse, including misappropriation of financial resources or financial control over the elderly and disputes involving actions of agents under a Power of Attorney.
