Archer Declares Juneteenth a Firm Holiday

In observance of Juneteenth, Archer will close its offices this Friday, June 19th. Archer’s Chief Diversity Officer Lloyd Freeman stated, “As our country continues to deal with social injustices and systemic racism 155 years later, this holiday carries even more significance. Juneteenth is a unifying holiday and should be spent supporting one another, promoting equality and healing.”

The firm is encouraging all its employees to spend the day educating themselves and others on these important issues and recommended to employees a number of articles, podcasts, movies, and webinars. Those suggestions are found below. Freeman added, “Education on social justice and race relations is ongoing and we will provide more opportunities in the near future to continue this conversation as a firm.”

Going forward, Archer will recognize Juneteenth as a day of service and education.
