Salvatore DeBunda Elected Board Chairman of Group That Presents Philly Pops

Salvatore M. DeBunda, Co-Managing Partner of the Philadelphia office of the law firm Archer P.C., has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Encore Series Inc. (ESI), the nonprofit organization that presents the Philly Pops orchestra.

Mr. DeBunda, who has served on the Pops’ Board for many years, ascends to Chairman as the music organization launches an exciting new era and prepares to welcome Maestro Michael Krajewski, the Pops’ first new conductor in 34 years, following the long tenure of founding music director Peter Nero.

The Philly Pops is a one-of-a kind orchestra that authentically performs a wide variety of musical genres. Featuring talented musicians from the musically rich Philadelphia region, the Philly Pops consistently brings audiences to their feet with exhilarating performances.

Mr. DeBunda reflects on his predecessor D. Walter Cohen, DDS, “We are all appreciative of the great service D. Walter Cohen, DDS has provided as board chair for many years. I look forward to working with the board and with Frank Giordano, President and CEO, in this next phase of The Philly Pops.”

Mr. DeBunda, of Blue Bell, Pa., has a diverse practice that spans a number of industries. He represents corporate, healthcare and media clients, including major cable television franchisees, as well as significant private and family-owned companies, nonprofit organizations, and horse ownership, racing interest and trade associations.  He is President of the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (PTHA), which represents owners and trainers of racehorses at Philadelphia Park and the founder and executive producer of Let’s Go Racing, a television program dedicated to thoroughbreds and the art of horse racing.
