Overview
Katelynn represents clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, alimony and spousal support, child support, relocation, adoption, domestic violence, and cyber harassment. She has a particular focus in the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) defense and advising. She is also a certified civil mediator in New Jersey. Leveraging her litigation skills and experience, Katelynn’s clients benefit from her ability to both negotiate a resolution out of court and litigate successfully on their behalf.
A skilled and committed advocate, Katelynn understands the stakes that are involved in family law matters which affect her clients’ lives and the lives of their children. She has empathy and compassion working with her clients ensuring they understand the process and helping them to make important decisions.
Prior to joining Archer, Katelynn was a Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Attorney General in Trenton, NJ, where she litigated child abuse and neglect cases. In her role as a Deputy, she served as an advisor to DCP&P, negotiated complex child abuse issues, and mediated cases. She conducted highly contested trials often involving multiple witnesses and experts. Katelynn employed a creative legal approach in order to facilitate successful resolutions for her client and the child. Utilizing her background in child-related issues, Katelynn applies her extensive knowledge of children’s physical, emotional, and educational needs to her practice.
Katelynn served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Donald J. Stein, Camden, New Jersey. While in law school, Katelynn worked at a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Philadelphia as the discovery manager for the firm. She also participated in the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic at Rutgers Law, where she represented children in abuse and neglect cases.
